No Panics aims and objectives are the relief and rehabilitation of those people suffering from panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, related anxiety disorders and tranquilliser withdrawal and to provide support to suffers, their families and/or carers.
The services offered are:
* providing a confidential helpline, freephone 0808 808 0545, from 10.00am to 10.00pm every day. Staffed by trained volunteers.
* providing a night-time anxiety crisis line, freephone 0808 808 0545 from 10.00pm to 10.00m every day (answer phone service only).
* providing telephone recovery groups and one to one telephone mentoring.
* providing a "contact" booklet service for members wishing to make phone-friends and pen pals.
* providing literature, books, audio and video cassettes relevant to the illnesses (available in a variety of ethnic languages.
* providing written recovery programmes for phobias and O.C.D. A simple and easy to follow step by step guide to overcoming a phobia/O.C.D.
* providing support for people trying to give up tranquillisers.
* providing a telephone based one to one mentoring scheme.
* providing information designed to raise public and professional awareness of the problems created by anxiety disorders.
* providing lay-person self-help cognitive and behaviour therapy as a basis for recovery.
