Safety Advisory Team, The (North Herts)

If you are organising an event, large or small, safety must be a key concern for you, whether it be:

* Providing safe food;
* Safety of people attending the event;
* Being a good neighbour;
* Access and Parking;
* Attendance by the emergency services if a problem occurs;
* Carrying out a risk assessment of the event;
* Acquiring authority or a licence;
* And many more.

The planning and organising of events whatever the size requires careful thought. This will take a long time and you must allow for the time it takes to get approval. It can take a year to plan some events.

The free "Organising Events Guide" has been prepared in partnership with many of the experts that you may wish to consult with regarding your event. It should be your first point of reference. This is available online www.north-herts.gov.uk
