Relate (North Herts and Stevenage)

We support:
* Adults and children who want to deal with problems in family and other relationships;
* People who want to refresh and develop their close relationship.

We offer confidential, impartial counselling to couples, families and young people. We also provide sexual therapy. We also offer group work to young people to build emotional resilience.

Counselling appointments are available in the daytime, evenings and on Saturday mornings, in Letchworth, Stevenage, Hitchin and Royston. Appointments must be booked in advance by telephone (Monday to Friday 9.15am-3.00pm).

Your first appointment will be an initial consultation where you can talk through your concerns with a specially trained relationship counsellor. You can come on your own or with your partner.

The counsellor will assess with you the best way forward for you, usually offering ongoing counselling sessions, which will be on a weekly basis, when a regular appointment slot becomes available.

Our youth counselling service, Talktime, which is for 10-25 year olds, is free; we do make a charge for other services to help cover our costs. If you live in North Herts District or Stevenage Borough and can provide evidence of low income, then we may be able to negotiate special payment arrangements.
