The Garden house hospice has 11 beds, plus a day hospice 4 days a week and a hospice at home service. The Hospice provides specialist, palliative care and support for patients suffering from incurable cancer or motor neurone disease.
Professional medical care, support and counselling is offered in a warm, homely and loving environment for patients and their families.
All services are provided free of charge and without discrimination. Patients are always referred to the hospice by their GP or hospital consultant.
The Hospice is ably supported by a large team of volunteers who work at the hospice, with fundraising activities, or the Hospice Trading Company. £1,000,000 needs to be raised each year to keep the services running.
