Keech Cottage Children's Hospice opened in March 2000. It provides pallative and terminal care to children aged between 0 and 18 years, living in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, who have a life-limiting illness and are not expected to survive to their adult years.
The Hospice is equiped with a multisensory room, computer room, specially adapted play areas, and full accommodation for families. There is a new hydrotherapy pool that is also made available to non hospice users for a small fee.
The Hospice will support the families of these children from the point of diagnosis, to the time when their child dies, and afterwards, for as long as necessary.
The Charity operates a Children's Community Nursing team in Herfordshire and Bedfordshire, that provides care and support to families with a life limited child at home.
The hospice is a subsidary of Pasque Hospice Charity (formerly Luton and South Beds Hospice).
