Part of the Leonard Cheshire Foundation provides care at home for people of all ages whether they have disability, are elderly and frail, need post operative care, are terminally ill or their carer is unwell or in need of a break. The assistance may be for one hour a week or several hours a day, occasionally overnight.
Assistance includes: help in getting up or going to bed, washing or bathing, dressing, continence care, shopping, cooking, respite sitting, companionship and general help at home.
A day care club operates every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday please contact for further details.
Clients are referred to the Leonard Cheshire Foundation by social services, doctors and health care workers but anyone can access the service by contacting them directly. A scale of charges for private clients is available, but are often covered by claiming social security allowances.
