Claridge House is a healing centre set up more than 50 years ago by the Friends Fellowship of Healing, a Quaker interest group. Although run on Quaker principles the house is open to those of all religions or none at all, the emphasis being on spirituality. The majority of our guests are not Quakers.
Claridge House offers midweek breaks to enable our guests to rest and relax away from the stresses of everyday life. The peaceful atmosphere of the house has been found to be beneficial for a wide range of people including carers looking for a respite break and people suffering from ME.
In addition varied courses are run at weekends with a healing focus to provide an opportunity for spiritual and physical development. Among others the subjects covered include creative writing, yoga, Reiki healing, philosophy, spiritual healing, singing, Chinese brush painting and personal development.
The house itself is a Victorian building set in a beautful 2-acre garden in the Surrey countryside. The food is vegetarian, organic where possible, with the ability to cater for those on vegan or medical diets.
