St John Ambulance (Rickmansworth and Chorleywood Division - Adults and Cadets)

The groups meet in Mill End, Rickmansworth. St John Ambulance teaches and provides first aid in the community.

* Cadets (10-18 years):
Meeting arrangements on application.
They learn first aid, care and many other subjects. Social activities and residential courses are available. Cadets are permitted to attend public functions in order to assist adult first aiders.

* Adults (18+ years: Wednesdays 8.00pm-10.00pm).
The group aims to train members in a variety of emergency procedures from advanced first aid to defibrillation techniques. They can learn care techniques, casualty handling and front-line emergency ambulance work. Members go on duty at the local theatre, at events organised by other groups, and at national events such as the London Marathon.

The branch also organises social events for its members. Volunteers are always very welcome.
