Venue: Day Centre, Leyton Road, Harpenden.
Days/times of Meetings: Thursdays 8.00pm-10.00pm.
Meals on Wheels: Available five days a week to those living in the Harpenden postal district (AL5).
Who is eligible for meals on wheels?: A person who is frail, elderly, housebound, prevented from shopping, preparing and cooking a hot meal due to a disability, recently discharged from hospital, in need of temporary help to relieve a carer.
Who can refer people for the meals on wheels service?: Doctor, Adult Care Services (formerly Social Services).
Cost of the meals: The cost of each meal is £2.50.
Choice of meals: There is no choice of menu but vegetarians can be catered for and puddings for diabetics provided.
