Bedfordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) was established on 1st October 2006 and covers the area formerly served by Bedford PCT and Bedfordshire Heartlands PCT. For the latest information on this new PCT please visit their web site.

Bedfordshire PCT is responsible for the health of everyone in Bedfordshire. This includes the quality of care provided by GP's, nurses, therapists, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists and other health professionals working in the community. The PCT directly provides a range of community health care services and works in partnership with healthcare providers across the county to commission effective and high quality hospital and other services.
