National Blood Service
Demand for blood remains constantly high with 10,000 donations required every day in order to meet hospital demand.
Anyone aged between the ages of 17 and 60 (or 70 if an existing donor) can enrol as a donor as long as they are in good general health and are not subject to certain medical conditions.
