The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) wants all parents to have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood that enriches their lives and gives them confidence in being a parent, providing local support and putting parents in touch for social networking.

The NCT also runs antenatal classes and provides information on maternity issues, breastfeeding and postnatal support including specialist groups for caesareans and miscarriage.

The NCT has approximately 320 branches throughout the country and is also involved in research and campaigning.
