Carers UK
This association helps carers to speak with a stronger voice. They provide information and advice on all aspects of caring, to both carers and professionals. They also campaign at all levels of national and local government and with service providers.
The UK-wide network of offices, branches and individuals offer support to carers and provide vital feedback on local practices and policies.
Members receive a quarterly journal as well as benefitting from contact with other carers, with whom experiences and information can be shared.
CarersLine is an information line to give carers practical support and help them get the benefits they are entitled to.
The CarersLine (0808 808 7777) is open on:
Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00am to 12 noon and 2.00pm to 4.00pm. All calls are free.
