National Childbirth Trust (Hertford and Ware Branch)

The NCT offers information and support in pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. They aim to give every parent the chance to make informed choices and they try to make sure that their services, activities and membership are fully accessible to everyone.

The National Childbirth Trust wants all parents to have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood that enriches lives and gives them confidence in being a parent.

Their policy, research and campaigning, give the NCT a national focus that is vital to the work they do with individuals. The NCT does not tell parents how to manage their pregnancies, how to give birth or how to feed and care for their babies.

As a branch the Hertford and Ware branch covers a large area of East Herts, Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Hertford Heath, Ware, Watton-at-Stone, Dane End, Hertford, Hadhams, Stanstead Abbotts and up the A10 to Buntingford, Throcking.

The branches main activities are:
* ante natal classes;
* post natal classes;
* toddler and baby groups;
* breastfeeding counselling;
* nearly new sales every six months (Spring and Autumn).

These activities are open to everyone, not just NCT members.
