RNIB. Family Services (Northwood)

The Sunshine Family Centre provides support for the families of children, aged from birth to 18 years old, who are blind or partially sighted and may have additional disabilities or complex needs.

The Centre is managed by the RNIB Family Services Officer.
The service is available throughout the year including the school holidays.

The Centre offers a vast selection of activities and services for children, parents/carers and other professionals, to satisfy a wide range of family needs and requirements.

Regular activities during term time:

* Tuesdays Stay and Play sessions 1.00pm-3.00pm;
You and your child have a great opportunity to join in different activities in Early Years Centre.

* Wednesdays Play session for under 5s 10.30am-12.30pm;
This playgroup is designed to stimulate a child’s early development through play and intervention. The playgroup is suitable for all children who are under 5 years old and have a visual impairment and additional disabilities.

* Thursdays Sunshine Special Children’s Club evening 3.30pm-8.30pm;
Let your child have fun in our creche while you catch up on other things you would like to do. Please book a place.

* Fridays Swimming session 1.00pm-3.00pm;
Experience positive impact in our hydrotherapy pool on your child’s wellbeing and development.

For holiday activities please contact the centre. We run siblings groups, family weekend breaks, parties, trips and many more.
