Home-Start (Dacorum)

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation in which volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown and emphasising the pleasures of family life. Home-Start only supports families with children under 5 years of age.

Home-Start provides a breathing space for parents and elbow-room for many professional workers who refer any family with at least one child under school age to the scheme.

Home-Start Dacorum covers the following towns and villages: Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Kings Langley, Chipperfield, Bovingdon, Potten End, Great Gaddesden, Little Gaddedsden, Flamsted, Markyate, Aldbury, Wiggington and Long Martson.

Family Group is held once a week, in term time on Tuesdays from 10.00am to 12noon.

Office Opening Hours are 9.30am to 4.00pm. An answerphone is available outside office hours.
