Home-Start recruits volunteers, who are parents themselves, to visit families with at least one child under 5, who would like support, friendship and practical help.

Volunteers visit families at home, usually once a week and expenses are paid. Training and support provided.

Area covered: St Albans, Harpenden, Redbourn, Wheathampstead, London Colney, Colney Heath, Sandridge, and Park Street.
