Broxbourne Women's Aid provides information and a safe place to stay for women and children escaping domestic violence and abuse.
Advice on housing issues, legal advice from a visiting solicitor who visits the refuge every two weeks. Counselling for women escaping or living with domestic violence. Practical and emotional support. Support and care for children of women who are escaping violence and resident in the refuge.
Women's Aid also supports women living with domestic violence who want to remain in their own homes. Their "Stay Safe" support service works with women who do not want to come into a refuge. It offers advice, support, and safety planning for women who cannot leave home.
