Welwyn Hatfield Women's Refuge provides refuge accommodation to women fleeing domestic violence with or without their children. The Refuge operates a helpline and provides an outreach service for any women in the district who are victims of domestic violence.

There are two term time drop-in centres for women (under 5's welcome):

* Woodhall Community Centre, Welwyn Garden City, Wednesdays 9.30am-11.30am;

* William Cecil Memorial Hall, Hatfield, Thursdays 9.30am-11.30am.
