The Alternatives to Violence Project is a national charity running group workshops for anyone who wants to find out ways of resolving conflict without resorting to violence, anger or aggression.
Violence can be physical, verbal or emotional. Sarcasm, put downs, domestic violence, exploitation and prejudice are all types of violence and whilst conflict is a natural part of everyday life, it is possible to learn new ways to handle it. AVP workshops explore building self esteem, affirming what is good in ourselves, build trust, confidence and community. Improving communication skills and co-operating with others are all essential parts of the workshop, as well as managing anger and dealing with conflict. The workshop help develop our ability to resolve difficult situations and empower us to improve our relationship with others.
AVP runs workshops all over the UK and cost of a workshop is kept to a minimum. Please contact us for futher details.
