The aim of The Sunflower Centre is to protect and support those affected by domestic violence or hate crimes. The Centre does this by working in partnership with other organisations to deliver a tailor made, individualised service, to ensure the safety of the family and reduce repeat victimisation.
There are centres based in Hemel Hempstead and Watford and agency and self-referrals are accepted. Staff at the centres can provide:
* Safety planning.
* Risk assessments.
* Professional addvice on the civic and criminal justice options available.
* Outreach to A&E and Maternity services.
In addition, partner agencies can provide:
* IDVA service.
* Housing advice surgeries.
* Access to counselling services.
* Fastracking to other services including substance misuse and group work.
These services are available to any individual, of any age or gender, who is experiencing domestic violence or hate crime.
