This is a 3-mile-long traffic-free path for cyclists and walkers which follows the route of an old railway line. Horse-riders are also allowed on the western section. Much of the track passes through countryside, including Croxley Common Moor, and it crosses the Colne, Chess and Gade rivers and the Grand Union Canal.
The path is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users; disabled people can open the gates using RADAR keys.
There are several access points and links with other paths. The Rickmansworth end is very close to the Batchworth Lock Visitor Centre. The western end of the Ebury Way, Croxley Common Moor and the Canal towpath combine to make a circular walk of about 3 miles.
The Way has been developed by Groundwork Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire County Council, Three Rivers District Council, Watford Council and the Countryside Management Service.
The Way comprises parts of the Nation Cycle Network (paths NCN61 & NCN6).
A leaflet is available from Three Rivers District Council.
