Nine and a Half acres of former Watercress Beds, open spring-fed shallow lagoons and a stretch of the River Lea, marsh, hedgerows, footpaths and hides.
Ideal place for birdwatching including Heron, Little Egret, Kingfisher, Snipe, Green Sandpiper, Water Rail and Sparrowhawk.
Costs: Entry is free but donations are appreciated.
Opening Hours: Access arranged via Warden. Circular Walk.
Disabled access to birdwatching Hide.
Classroom available for visiting groups, schools,etc.
Directions: Off roundabout leading to Lemsford, west of the A1(M) near Welwyn Garden City.
