There is a nature trail in Coppetts Wood, which contains both woodland and scrubland, and a number of ponds.
The Parks and Countryside Officer can supply you with a leaflet which describes the route and includes notes about the history of the site, the plants and animals to be found here, and how it is being managed to encourage wildlife.
The nature trail is about half a mile long and is marked with yellow arrows and marker posts. There is a car park on Colney Hatch Lane.
The Glebelands is a remnant of Finchley Common and is a strip of woodland and ponds. The site is home to a variety of wild flowers and birds and even slow worms. There is a carpark off Summers Lane (sign posted for Bowls Club).
