This nature reserve contains a nature trail which starts at the Temple Fortune Hill entrance to Big Wood. It can be reached on foot via Hampstead Way from Finchley Road (A589), NW11. Golders Green Underground is just over one mile from Big Wood.

The Parks and Countryside Office can supply you with a leaflet for the nature trail which shows the route and contains information about the history of the site and the plants and animals to be found there.

The Dollis Valley Greenwalk passes through the woods, a ten mile route from Moat Mount to Hampstead Heath.
