* Conserve and safeguard Chorleywood Common and Chorleywood House Estate;
* Support the management of the Common and Chorleywood House Estate;
* Promote local interest in and awareness of the Common and Chorleywood House Estate;
* Ensure that the byelaws are upheld and are modified in accordance with changing circumstances.

The Friends of Chorleywood Common have a membership of over 600 at present (2007).

To promote the objects listed above, talks on subjects such as natural history, conservation, local history and the history and management of commons and other open spaces are held, usually in Chorleywood Library, at approximately monthly intervals during the Autumn and Winter months.

In Spring and Summer there are regular events outdoors on the Common itself. These concentrate on various aspects of the Common, such as its birds, flowers, ponds, fungi and biodiversity.

The subscription is £3.00 a year for a single member, £6.00 for a family and 50p for a junior. (2006)

If you live in the area and love Chorleywood Common, why not become a member now?

Date of AGM: late January/early February.
