They are a group of 100-200 active volunteers. No formal membership is required to join their activities.
They encourage local people interested and concerned for wildlife and the countryside to become involved by providing a varied programme of field trips, illustrated talks and work parties. Copies of the events programme are available from the contact above.
They are a non-specialist wildlife and countryside group promoting the aims of the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, focussing on learning more about the wildlife in the Welwyn and Hatfield area and supporting local environmental projects. They welcome anyone interested in wildlife and the countryside including families.
Meetings are usually held on the second Sunday (10.00am) and last Tuesday (8.00pm) of each month. Indoor meetings are held at Howlands Baptist Church,The Commons, WGC. Programmes of field trips, presentations can be obtained from the contacts.
