The Pinetum contains about 150 species of conifers from all over the world, many over 100 years old and is a site of considerable heritage value.
Their aims are to widen the variety of conifers and to plant for future generations. They have working parties most Wednesdays throughout the year and on one Saturday a month. They have several social events, including visits, lecturers, in-house courses, annual summer barbeque and Christmas party.
All are welcome to attend, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
They meet at the main building at Bayfordbury Campus, University of Hertfordshire, SG13 8LD.
Public access to the Pinetum is by appointment only. Friends of the Clinton-Baker Pinetum may access the Pinetum during daylight hours.
Costs (Membership fees): individuals £5.00; family/household £7.50.
