Social Security Offices (Outside Hertfordshire)

There are no longer any Social Security Offices. These have been replaced by Jobcentre Plus offices. All claims to benefits should be made by telephoning the Contact Centre on 0800 055 6688 (Text phone for those who are hearing impaired or people with speech difficulties - 0800 023 4888). At the Contact Centre, your claim papers will be completed by a customer service operator who will then make an appointment for you at your nearest Jobcentre plus and send the paperwork through to there.
