Edge Grove is a family school and was founded in 1935. We have accommodation for 80 Boarders and approximately 170 Day Children in the prep school and 120 children in the pre-prep department.
Twenty-five acres of grounds offer nine acres of playing fields, excellent teaching accommodation, a large Sports’ Hall, two hard tennis courts, a large heated swimming pool, a roller blading area and two croquet lawns, in addition to extensive gardens, spinneys and a lake which is a bird sanctuary.
In 1969 the school became a charitable non-profit-making Educational Trust, under the guidance of a Board of Governors. The Headmaster is a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (I.A.P.S.).
Edge Grove is a Boarding/Day Preparatory School for approximately 250 children. We also have a Pre-Prep (Hart House) for 120 children aged 3 years to 7 years. The whole school is divided into four sections:
Hart House:
The Pre-Prep for children aged 3 years to 7 years.
Edge Grove:
The Junior School (Forms 1 & 2) for children aged 7+ to 9+ (NC Years 3 and 4);
The Middle School (Forms 3 & 4) for children aged 9+ to 11+ (NC Years 5 and 6);
The Senior School (Forms 5 & 6) for children aged 11+ to 13+ (NC Years 7 and 8).
From the age of 7+, the structure provides for three Forms in each year. Forms are streamed in the Middle and Senior School and there is the provision for setting in the Junior School in English and Maths. Classes are fully co-educational at Hart House and Edge Grove.
Costs: Fees available on application.
