Open University
The Open University is Britain's favourite university - voted top for overall satisfaction in the National Student Surveys of 2005, 2006 and 2007. It has consistently appeared in the top six UK universities for teaching quality, based on government data from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education Assessment.
The Open University has a range of prgrammes at all levels from beginner to postgraduate. At levels up to undergraduate there are no entry qualifications required. As long as you are over 18 and want to study, you will be accepted if a place is available on your chosen course. Study is usually from home or your workplace using a mixture of text, internet and other media. There is financial support (often full fees and costs paid) for students who qualify.
