St Albans U3A aims to advance the education of and provide leisure and recreational activiites for 'Third Agers' (retired and semi-retired people) in St Albans and the surrounding area. There is no age limit for joining and all the activiites take place during the day.
The main meetings, with an outside speaker, are held on alternate Tuesdays during term time at The Highfield centre, Russet Drive, St Albans at 2.30 pm.
There is also a full programme of interest/study groups, outings and short break holidays. The U3A is a mutual self help group run entirely by volunteers. Members use their skills and enthusiasm to run the programme of study groups and other activities.
