National Extension College

NEC is an independent provider of home study courses. They are an educational charity with over 40 years experience of providing distance learning.

NEC is accredited by the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODLQC).

They support over 20,000 students a year on over 100 courses from GCSE's, 'A' Levels, childcare qualifications, management progression courses, business, accountancy and book-keeping, health and counselling to vocational and personal development programmes.

Their courses are designed to let students enrol at any time and work at their own pace, while giving them all the support they need to get through the course.

Learners can communicate online with other current, potential and past NEC students in the specially designed discussion groups. They are a good way to make new friends, and share information or advice with other people enrolled on the same course.
