NASCH acts as a co-ordinating body between clubs which cater for swimmers with disabilities. Their object is that NASCH "recognising the immense value of swimming for the physical and pyschological rehabilitation of the disabled, shall encourage, promote and develop swimming amongst the handicapped".

It has an award scheme with a series of endeavour badges for disabled swimmers.
