Shopmobility is a national scheme which is designed to enable anyone who has mobility problems, whether temporary or permanent, to get out and about.
The Hemel Hempstead Service gives registered users access to all town centre facilities such as banks, building societies and the market by providing, free of charge, a range of wheelchairs and scooters.
It is necessary to register at the Shopmobility office to use the service. A form of ID showing name and address is required.
If groups want to use the service, Shopmobility will arrange to meet a coach or bus at a pre-arranged time and place with the agreed wheelchairs or scooters (NB one week's notice is required for this service).
Shopmobility is signposted within the town centre and the Marlowes Centre for pedestrians.
Opening Hours: Mondays-Saturdays 9.30am-5.00pm
