The day centre provides a warm friendly atmosphere where up to 25 older handicapped or housebound clients per day can meet and socialise. You can have a cooked lunch and join in the recreational facilities provided.

Royston Day Centre is a registered charity, part funded by the County Council, and manned entirely by volunteers. Minibus collects clients from their homes (9.00am-9.30am) and returns them again after lunch. The staff cook lunch and provide tea, coffee and a chat.

Handicraft and leisure sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. Bingo on Friday. The Centre also has radio, cassettes, CD's and a piano.

They have their own wheelchair, and toilet for the disabled, but clients must be able to care for themselves as they do not have nursing staff available (volunteers attend in-house training on first aid and emergency care).
