The Lin Berwick Trust provides self-catering holiday accommodation for people with disabilities, their families and carers. At present we have two cottages:
Berwick Cottage, East Harling, Norfolk
This cottage sleeps 6 (2 with disabilities) and is set in a delightful village within easy reach of larger centres and tourist attractions. The purpose built accommodation includes a spacious downstairs disability bedroom with electrically adjustable Scan 700 beds, pressure care matresses and a bedroom-to-bathroom overhead hoist. The bathroom has a wheelchair shower, height-adjustable basin, Parker Sovereign bath with reclining seat and Clos-O-Mat toilet that washes and dries. There are two double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs for family members or carers.
Denis Duncan, Dirleton, East Lothian
Like its sister cottage in East Harling, this brand new holiday cottage also sleeps 6 (2 with disabilities) and is equipped with the very lastest disability equipment. It is set on the green in a beautiful village 2 miles west of the attractive seaside town of North Berwick on the Firth of Forth and 24 miles east of Edinburgh.
The kitchen has two height-adjustable Ropox units - sink and hob-top and leads to the superbly appointed dining room and conservatory from which holiday makers can view the wild-flower garden beyond and perhaps even spot a deer or two.
Both cottages are open all year round and costs from £335-£785 per week depending on the season. Care can be bought in at an extra cost and information will be provided on request or at the time of booking.
