Resource Centres:
Our resource centres stock a variety of 'aids to daily living' and staff are happy to advise you. Anything not in stock can be ordered for you. The opening times are:
* Frinton (Read House) - Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm;
* Clacton (Sam's Hall) - Thursday 1.00pm-4.00pm;
* Chelmsford (Library) - Friday 10.00am-4.00pm;
* Thurrock (The Beehive) - Tuesday 10.00am-2.00pm;
* Colcheser (Catalyst House) - Tuesday 10.00am-1.00pm;
* Braintree (Community Centre - Wednesday 10.00am-1.00pm.

Residential Care:
Their purpose built complex at Frinton on Sea offers permanent care and short stay accommodation for the visually impaired. Their fully trained staff have many years experience of caring for the visually impaired.
Hospital Eye Clinics:
Run entirely by volunteers, these groups provide an important service to those attending hospital eye clinics.
At a time of great stress their volunteers are able to offer important advice and support and a listening easr whenever necessary.
Social Clubs:
Their network of affiliated social clubs around the Country provide a regular source of companionship and activities for the senior citizens who are visually impaired. Contact details for each club are available from their advice line.
Essex Blind Club relies heavily on the support of individuals to provide these services. Either as a volunteer or by making a donation, you can help them to increase the amount of support they can give.
