Torch Trust for the Blind

The Torch Trust was founded with Christian principles with a worldwide vision for people with sight loss. Principle activities include the provision of Christian literature for blind and partially sighted people, local groups providing fellowship and companionship, holidays to suit a variety of tastes and activities and an international work that reaches into 100 countries worldwide.

From our headquarters in Leicestershire, Torch operates a free postal library of Christian books in audio (including DAISY format), braille and giant print. The variety or reading material means that our borrowers range from children through general readers to the more scholarly. With over 3,000 titles in the library there is plenty to choose from.

In addition, Torch produces Bible reading notes, magazines, bibles, hymn books, Scriptures Text Calendars, tactile greeting cards and booklets.
