An audio tape of local news and items of interest is prepared locally by volunteers to cover Welwyn, Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield. It is posted every fortnight, at no cost, to all qualifying persons. They call it 'Whatnews', short for Welwyn Hatfield News. It is a registered charity and has been running for 27 years.
