This is a local society, affiliated to National MENCAP, offering advice, information and support to people with learning disabilities and their families.

Activities include:
* Links and referrals to summer leisure schemes for children;
* Parent support group;
* Help to finance transport for associated groups;
* Quarterly newsletters;
* Social events;
* Assistance in accessing services locally;
* Campaigning for peoples' entitlements to service.

Income is from donations, local organisations, fund raising events and grants.
