The Broxbourne Dyslexia Unit is a registered charity.

Opening Hours during term-time:
Tuesday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Wednesday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Thursday from 10.00am ti 4.00pm.

There is an answerphone for messages at other times.

A dyslexic person has a difficulty with language in reading, writing and/or spelling, i.e. he/ she has a specific learning difficulty.

The Broxbourne Dyslexia Unit helps to:
* Carry out diagnostic teaching assessments.
* Train teachers to recognise and teach children, teenagers and adults with specific learning difficulties.
* Refer parents/pupils to qualified teachers, recognised by the CSF, who have specialist training.
* Provide support and advice to parents, pupils and teachers.

Appointments for assessment can be made and details of assessment and tuition fees obtained by telephoning the Unit during opening hours.

The Unit also runs the DCR Level 5 Certificate courses.

The Broxbourne Dyslexia Unit is run by the Hertfordshire Dyslexia Foundation Council and is affiliated to the Hertfordshire Dyslexia Association. The Unit is a Supporting Member of the British Dyslexia Association.

Directions: The Broxbourne Dyslexia Unit is situated between Wormley and Broxbourne on the A1170 (High Road), opposite the White Bear Pub.
