For 30 years The LINK Centre has provided intensive rehabilitation for adults experiencing the trauma of acquired profound deafness.
LINK continues to be the major organisation in the UK dedicated to this group of adults and their services include:
* Residential rehabilitation programmes for deafened adults and their friends and family;
* Training courses for professionals;
* A national network of deafened Outreach Volunteers;
* Challenging Deafness. A national self-management programme;
* Social Support Groups;
* Research into the effects of acquired profound deafness;
* Conferences on the benefits of training people to help deliver specialist servces;
* Groups for new cochlear implant users;
* Magazine for deafened people, their families and friends;
