Guideposts Trust (Ware)

Voluntary organisation which offers the following services to adults with learning difficulties:

* Day Services (including outreach);
* Friendship Scheme;
* Adult Placement Scheme (recruiting carers to offer long-term residential placements and respite care);
* a Guideposts shop as a work training project;
* Community Cafe - work training project;
* Community Activity Scheme and Leisure Projects.

The Friendship Scheme recruits and trains volunteers to be a friend to an adult with learning difficulties, matching people with similar hobbies/interests and personalities. Volunteers are also needed to help the shop managers and students in the Guideposts shop and cafe; and to support small groups of adults with learning difficulties who get together in the evening through the Community Activity Scheme and Leisure Project.
