Stevenage CVS acts as an umbrella organisation and resource centre for the voluntary sector. It provides information, training, meeting rooms, photocopying service etc. The CVS liaises with statutory and other sectors and supports locality community planning.
The CVS operates a voluntary car scheme available to residents who, because of age and/or disability, are unable to use public transport. Available for trips to hospitals outside Stevenage, for shopping, social and leisure journeys. Does NOT include trips to Lister Hospital (see record for Lister Hospital Car Service).
Offers (to affiliated members) a range of services including office supplies, advice and information on charity, legal and other matters. Provides community Accountant and training services.
