The Herts Council for Voluntary Youth Services (HCVYS) has closed as a registered charity. As directed by the HCVYS constitution, an Extraordinary General Meeting was held on Tuesday 13th May 2008 at which the following motion was passed unanimously.

"That HCVYS approve the Hertfordshire Youth Draft Business Plan and resolve to close HCVYS as a charity and transfer the assets both financial and material as a gesture of goodwill to the new Hertfordshire Youth organisation and that we seek approval from
Connexions Hertfordshire that the restricted funds can be transferred across to the new organisation"

The new Hertfordshire Youth organisation referred to above has the title Pro:Action Hertfordshire and will take on all of the responsibilities of HCVYS and some of the work previously done by the Hertfordshire Association for Young People (HAYP).
