Baring Foundation

The Foundation runs three grants programmes, each with their own strict rules for application. Below is a summary of these programmes which has been drafted with Hertfordshire applicants in mind. Full details MUST be sought from the Foundation.

* 'Strengthening the Voluntary Sector' - with regards to Hertfordshire, only national voluntary organisations based in Hertfordshire would be eligible to apply. Some priority is given to activities which are considered to be difficult to fund or are unlikely to attract public support. The Foundation will not normally make single grants. It expects most funded activities to be completed within 12 months.

* 'Arts Programme' - grants for not-for-profit arts organisations working in community and educational settings. Grants are available to support small-scale arts activities or to promote the sharing of knowledge and skills among artists, art managers, teachers, and other professionals working in the arts sector.
