They promote participation in the voluntary arts i.e. those arts and crafts people undertake for self-improvement, social networking and leisure, but not primarily for payment.

The range of art forms is wide and varied. They reach a range of ages - from groups concerned with children to working with older people and from all social backgrounds. They provide advocacy and training information. They have a comprehensive website and offices in all four nations.
