IndependentAge provides financial support and friendship to older people who are struggling to make ends meet. We give priority to people who have helped others, for example, those who could not set income aside for their old age, because they were caring for elderly relatives.

The charity provides a small income for life as well as grants for emergencies such as essential home repairs. We can help with equipment to assist independent living and provide clothing and bed linen. The people we support also receive the friendship of our team of volunteers.

The charity publishes guide called 60-Wise and 60-Wise at Home, packed full of practical and financial advice on staying independent. IndependentAge is supported by donations and legacies.

We are always looking for more people to support and volunteers to help further the charity's work. If you would like some more information about IndependentAge, the forms of support we offer or would like to become a volunteer, please call 020 7605 4200 or take a look at our website.
