St John Ambulance (Ware Division - Adults and Cadets)

Venues:
The White House, Argyle Way, Stevenage. CHQ.
Small Room, Age Concern Hall, Priory Street - their meeting place.

The Cadets meet every Tuesday, 6.30pm-8.00pm (11-18 year olds).

The adult meeting takes place every Tuesday, 8.00pm-10.00pm.
New members always welcome.

Provides first aid facilities at public events.

As well as first aid based activities cadets also do other proficiency subjects such as care, map reading and navigation, accident prevention. They can go on duty at school fetes, horse shows where they deal with minor injuries.

Ideal hobby to have if planning to go into nursing, care but also useful for social side and meeting public.

Do not have to be a uniformed member. Can be involved on the fund raising, admin etc.

Do not need previous and present medical background. All training is done on meeting nights or at County Headquarters and can vary between basic Firstaider to ETA.
